Returned from Dahab. It was a lot of this:

Plus: technology failing me, ballin' bus rides, cats, camels and checkpoints. Oh yeah, and lying to the authorities.

Stories forthcoming, as soon as I do one or more of the following: do the reading for my 840am class (highly unlikely), eat (likely), shower (highly likely) and sleep (pretty much a must at this point).

Hi Kari!

I'm glad to see that you have escaped being a captive (as I imagined you ala "Sugar Street")to a women's only dorm protected by some towering fortress of university walls. I am a little worried though. Your picturies and stories show you publically exposing your wet hair to complete strangers on numerous occaisions. Where's your protective bathing cap with all of the cute duckies??!!

I think you need to tell the story of the bathing cap. It will add some much needed levity after the recent darkness that has descended on your blog.

Seriously though, Jean and I are enjoying the vicarious thrill of tracking your stories. Your writing really works. Thank you so much for sharing!

We look forward to seeing you this summer in the quiet, open countryside of Puget Sound.

Love,
Uncle Don
